Whilst meeting up with Zoe Chicco and Workhorse (two jewelry lines we are pretty much obsessed with) at their downtown Los Angeles showrooms + headquarters, we found ourselves at the door step of one the most beautiful places you can peruse books in the country. The Last Bookstore is truly a national treasure and we are so lucky to have it a skip, hop and a metro train away from our shops. Zoe and Nicole both mentioned the gem as one of their local favorites (they are literally next door) but we felt The Last Bookstore deserved a blog post of it's own. After our interviews with the two designers we roamed the aisles of books and took it in for all its glory. With our Valentine's day photoshoot on our minds, we pulled a book of Carl Sandburg's works from the poetry section and found inscribed,
'For my understanding Mopsy Feb. 14, 1964'
Yep. This is the kind of magic contained within the walls of the last, but not least, shop of books.
